Overview
EYELINE is a local-first teleprompter application for Android. We designed the app so your scripts and normal teleprompter activity remain on your device.
Information EYELINE handles
Scripts and imported documents
Scripts you create, paste, or import are stored locally on your device. EYELINE supports local TXT and DOCX import. EYELINE does not upload your script text to an EYELINE server.
Microphone and Voice Flow
Voice Flow may use Android on-device speech recognition to follow your spoken position. EYELINE is designed without a cloud speech fallback. Availability depends on the speech services and language models installed on your Android device.
Camera and recordings
If you use EYELINE's camera functionality, camera and microphone permissions are used to capture video and audio. Recordings are saved locally on your device. External Camera Overlay allows EYELINE to display prompt content over compatible camera apps after you grant Android's display-over-other-apps permission.
Google Play Billing
EYELINE Pro is offered as a one-time purchase. Purchases are processed by Google Play. EYELINE receives purchase and entitlement information needed to unlock Pro features, but does not receive your full payment-card details.
Accounts, ads and analytics
EYELINE does not require an EYELINE account. The app does not contain advertising. EYELINE does not sell your personal data. The app is not designed to upload your script content for analytics.
Website analytics
The EYELINE website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure basic website traffic such as visits and page views. This website analytics is separate from the EYELINE Android app and does not receive your teleprompter scripts.
Permissions
- Camera: used when recording with EYELINE's camera.
- Microphone: used for recording audio and, where supported, Voice Flow.
- Display over other apps: used only for External Camera Overlay.
- Notifications / foreground service: may be used while an external prompt overlay is active.
Data retention
Local app data remains on the device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Android backup is intentionally disabled for EYELINE's private local scripts and preferences.
Third-party services
Google Play provides app distribution and billing. Vercel provides website hosting and website analytics. Compatible external camera apps are separate third-party products governed by their own privacy policies.
